Last term, on Monday 16th September, we had our first PJ/Comfortable Clothing Day with a relaxation addition of colouring a mandala as relaxing music played in the background. The day was organised by this year’s Year 6 Wellbeing Committee. Every 1-2 weeks, the girls meet with me and we discuss different ideas that can be proposed as a school event. With a few nurturing questions, Matilda, Adele, Lily, Kayla and Anna have built on each other’s ideas throughout the year.
The idea of our September day was to solely be a pyjama day, however, with a suggestion from one of the girls it became PJ/comfortable clothing day to cater for all students considering some people may not be comfortable coming to school in their PJs.
I was on carers leave at the time, but ensured everything was set up and ready to go. Thank-you to Ms Kalc Smyth for stepping in on my behalf at the times needed.
It was simply wonderful seeing the photos throughout the day, including some of the students having some downtime in the afternoon.
It would be great to have some mandala colouring downtime at home, if you can!
Regards,
Mrs Carabott
