Both our Years 3 and 5 went to Werribee Zoo
As part of our next inquiry unit on Biological Science and Geography, Year 3 will be going on an excursion to Werribee Open Range Zoo early in Term 4. We are learning about the features of living, once living and non living things, life cycles and environments animals need to survive.
We are learning about the influences humans have on the environment and living things. To help spark our thinking and to do some finding out, we will be visiting the Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Year 5 students will be participating in the ‘Adaptations and Features Program’. We will also be riding on the Safari Bus.
Students will learn about:
● How to observe the structural and behavioural adaptations of animals to survive in their environment
● Ecosystems and what animals need to thrive in their environment
● The impact of humans on places, habitats and ecosystems
